The Inkwell (www.inkwelltheatre.org), DC's newest company devoted solely to the nurturing of new plays and playwrights, as part of the The Source Festival, presents a 10 minute play writing class.
Whip your ten-minute play into shape for next year's Source Festival with The Inkwell! Playwright, teacher and arts advocate Gary Garrison leads a weekend-long playwriting bootcamp that is guaranteed to stretch, strengthen and tone your ten-minute play into one ass-kickin' short play! The class culminates at the Source Theatre Festival's opening night performance of ten-minutes, followed by a discussion led by Mr. Garrison (ticket included in class registration).
Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Flashpoint (916 G Street NW)
Monday, June 23 8 p.m. at Source Theatre (1835 14th Street NW)

Gary Garrison is a playwright and author, as well as the Executive Director for Creative Affairs of the Dramatists Guild of America and the Artistic Director and Division Head of Playwriting for the Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing at the Tisch School of the Arts. He is also the former National Chair of Playwriting for the Kennedy Center's American College Theatre Festival, as well as the Artistic Director for the First Look Theatre Company and the recently formed Playwrights PlayGround. In 2005, Gary was named Outstanding Teacher of Playwriting by the Association for Theatre in Higher Education.
